Rochelle is a photographic artist whose work moves fluidly between documentary and art photography. Her practice explores themes of memory, youth-hood, and human connection. With an intuitive approach, she embraces the unpredictability of daily life- pauses, gestures, and fleeting expressions that speak to interior worlds. Her images often carry a quiet emotional resonance, shaped by a sensitivity to light and atmosphere. Moving seamlessly between black and white and colour, Rochelle draws on the unique character of Australian light to evoke mood, nostalgia, and a sense of place- a space where personal memory and shared human experience gently intersect.

“The human experience is complex and beautiful, and what gets me about life is that we never know what’s going to happen next. The unexpected moves us and reshapes us. It inspires moments of vigilance and those of reckless abandon. Whatever the impact the experience is visceral, unfathomed, and unperformed.”

Rochelle has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Victorian Collage of the Arts, Melbourne University.
