Everyday Exotic is a series of analogue photographs drawn from the quiet terrain of Rochelle’s daily life-where nature and domesticity, the landscape and the urban intersect.
This ongoing body of work is rooted in the intimacy of caregiving and the poetry of the mundane. It seeks out the tension between interior worlds and exterior landscapes, between tenderness and routine. The analogue process- slow, uncertain, and physical- mirrors the emotional texture of these moments: imperfect, tactile, and deeply felt.
Everyday Exotic explores how the ordinary can hold the extraordinary. It is a meditation on presence, perception, and the subtle rituals of daily life-where the exotic is not elsewhere, but hiding in plain sight.
